Licensing

Ascent Radio is fully licensed in the United States as a commercial online radio station through the four major music industry PROs (Publishing Rights Organizations) - BMI, ASCAP, SESAC, and GMR - as well as with Sound Exchange, the performance royalty organization for today's digital music industry. 

Ascent pays yearly membership fees and regularly reports our playlists to each of these organizations in order to ensure that the artists, writers and publishers for the music we play receive the proper compensation for the amazing and inspiring art they provide the world! Simply put, nothing is more important to us than making sure that we fairly compensate the artists that we play.
